In protective gas packaging: during packaging, Nitrogen (a natural gas found in air) is introduced into the bags to replace the oxygen contained in them, which is responsible for the oxidation of nutrients. This technology is widely used in human food production as it helps preserve nutrients and keeps food as fresh as when cooked.
